Registration Instructions

Our fall 2016 training registration is over, but we are planning more workshops for spring 2017. If you would like to be placed on our interest list for future course offerings, complete the Registration Interest Form

Online Course Instructions

Once you register for your field workshop, you can start the online course. Below you will find four course modules. When you open the module, you will be directed to an Adobe Presenter narrated powerpoint presentation. To begin the presentation, press play. You may pause the presentation at anytime or go back and review the slides. At the end of some presentations, there may be a brief practice quiz to help reinforce key concepts.

Note: You may be taking ONLY the online course for ISA, Master Gardener, or Master Naturalist recertification credit. For ISA credit, please fill in your ISA identification information when prompted during the final quiz. For Master Gardener or Naturalist credit, please self-report to OSU Extension as usual (or as they request).

Final Quiz Instructions

When you have viewed all four modules, take the final quiz. You must answer at least 80% (or 20 out of 25) of the questions correctly to pass the quiz; you may take the quiz an unlimited number of times. You must complete the online course to take the field workshop and become a Certified Oregon Forest Pest Detector.

Recertification credits or CEUs for taking ONLY the online course are available for the following organizations: Washington State Oregon Department of Agriculture (WSDA) Pesticide Applicator, International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist, OSU Master Gardener (self-report), OSU Master Naturalist (self-report).
